Ward Carpenter Engineers has been selected to complete the survey work related to the upcoming capital projects approved in the instructional bond. These Ward team is engaging our career Research Academy to learn all about surveying and even help complete the on site work. The multifaceted opportunity includes a classroom component where students learned all about the history and origins of surveying, Geographic Info Systems, Global Positioning Systems, drone surveying, plot points and so much more. They then went outside and marked out the survey area for the upcoming work at the high school and flew the drone at 440 feet. They will continue this work next week. What an amazing opportunity for our students to participate in actual work on their own campus!
